The latest software update (V3.2) for the DICENTIS conference system offers a platform-independent secure and scalable interface based on JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) and web sockets. As a result, the system now supports connectivity with conference management and control devices – such as touch panels and video switchers from third-party suppliers – via a software interface that operates independently from computer operating systems.

One of the first touch panel manufacturers to align control interfaces with the DICENTIS range is Extron, a global provider of professional AV product solutions, including control systems. Current Extron touch panels and control processors are now fully compatible with the system. As a result, system integrators can offer solutions which are customisable to users’ needs.

DICENTIS supports discussion management, simultaneous interpreting, language selection, voting, multimedia functions, live video feeds, internet access, document viewing, third-party apps and more. The system is based on OMNEO IP architecture, supporting Dante and Power over Ethernet (PoE) for facilitating quick and easy integration with third-party systems.
