Briefcam upgrades Video Content Analysis platform

by Benchmark

BriefCam has announced advances to its product portfolio, including v5.6 of its video content analytics platform, as well additional deployment models. The latest release also includes improvements in performance, accuracy and usability.

New v5.6 capabilities include number plate recognition designed to enable users to search video and pinpoint vehicle number plates across cameras based on watchlists, data uploads and existing video. Users can trigger rule-based alerts when license plates appearing in a predefined watchlist are detected. Data analysts can also quantify, measure and trend vehicle activity based on number plate recognition.

People Counting can be configured to monitor and alert based on an increase or decrease of people in a pre-defined area. Leveraging pose detection techniques for improved accuracy, BriefCam tracks semi-obscured people, enabling occupancy data to be gathered in real-time to detect queue formation thresholds.

BriefCam’s Mobile App users can search for faces in video by leveraging face recognition capabilities, and search for appearances across other cameras.

The BriefCam Investigator Cloud Edition enables users to take advantage of rapid video investigation without any on-premise hardware requirements. This reduces the total cost of ownership and eliminates capital expenditure with a flexible, subscription-based pricing-model based on processing hours, storage and concurrent user quota packages.
