Dahua has launched an entry-level thermal mini hybrid bullet camera: the DH-TPC-BF2120. Featuring a minituarised footprint, dual-channel spectrum and intelligent functions, the DH-TPC-BF2120 is a thermal camera that is installed just like any other security surveillance camera. The IP67-rated device deploys advanced image analysis and intelligent algorithms in the optical camera, and integrates these into the thermal camera. It combines the thermal camera with a Sony Starvis optical camera supported by IR LEDs for night use.
In addition to basic functions, the DH-TPC-BF2120 supports multiple intelligent functions, including detection of fire hazards, according to the manufacturer. Flames are typically difficult for surveillance systems to detect. Utilising thermal imaging technology, it is possible to identify flames quickly and effectively. The technology can precisely locate a fire, allowing a swift emergency response.
Multiple DH-TPC-BF2120 thermal cameras can also be utilised to form a perimeter intruder detection system, which performs as an invisible tripwire. When installed at the recommended height of 5 metres, one DH-TPC-BF2120 thermal camera can cover a perimeter of up to 29 metres, Dahua states.
Supporting ONVIF, the DH-TPC-BF2120 is compatible with mainstream third-party VMS platforms in the market such as Genetec Security Center, Milestone XProtect Corporate and Dahua DSS (Dahua Security Software).
