Evolution, the integrated fire and security business, has launched a new security design division to provide security and fire system design and specification services to third-party integrators, installers and clients. Richard Lambert (pictured), Managing Director of Evolution, points out that the new division has been launched to meet a growing demand for Evolution’s security design and expertise. He stated, ‘A solution is only as good as the original design and specification, and our team has an established reputation for excellence across a host of high profile projects in some of the most demanding environments.
‘We are now making this skilled resource available to third parties, whether installers, clients, or even other consultants, to work in partnership with them to design security and fire solutions that are technology-agnostic and genuinely best-in-class. The importance of traceability and demonstration of planned process is further strengthened by our partnerships with professional independent risk assessors to ensure all threats and weaknesses have been considered prior to committing to design.’
The security design division will provide traditional security consultancy services from original design through to commissioning, as well as providing all necessary documentation to support the tender process. It will make maximum use of the latest 3D building information modelling (BIM) techniques used in modern construction projects.
Evolution’s team of consultants is qualified to the highest level, working with clients with different experiences of risk, from high-end government and critical infrastructure to large commercial or industrial complexes.
‘We understand i-LIDS, CPNI, ATEX and a host of other guidelines, benchmarks and directives to work in the highest of high-security environments,’ Lambert continues, ‘but we also understand the challenges faced by lower risk sites, who also have a duty of care to ensure their property and staff are protected.’
Operating from the company’s headquarters in Buckinghamshire, the team will be led by Russell Loneragan. Russell has been a key member of the Evolution Team for the past 20 years and has almost 30 years security industry experience.
