Genetec has announced the launch of Security Center Synergis SaaS edition. This edition will offer a turnkey access control solution for easier deployment and maintenance. Synergis SaaS removes the need to purchase and install servers and streamlines maintenance requirements, allowing the corporate IT staff to focus on other business-critical tasks. Synergis SaaS edition is expected to be available in November 2017.

Synergis is the access control solution that forms part of the Security Center open-architecture IP security platform that combines video surveillance, access control, ANPR), communications and analytics. Synergis integrates with a wide selection of access control hardware from leading manufacturers.

Synergis SaaS will give customers the flexibility to adjust system usage as needs change, reducing budget requirements for access control capital expenditures. Customers will also be able to quickly deploy their access control system and benefit from automated update notifications. Multi-site organisations will be able to centrally manage their systems more efficiently.

Derek Arcuri, product marketing manager for access control, Genetec, stated, ‘When we introduced Synergis Cloud Link a few years ago, our forward-looking strategy was to offer a future-proof gateway appliance that is cloud-ready. Today, Synergis SaaS will allow customers to leverage all the benefits of access control as a service as they renew their legacy access control systems, while retaining elements of their existing infrastructure.’
