The Next Generation of Concept Pro PTZs

PROMOTIONAL ARTICLE

The next generation of PTZs from Concept Pro has arrived. With 10x, 20x and 30x zoom options, seamless integration with legacy installs, astounding low-light capability, an incredibly easy upgrade path and up to 8 alarm inputs and 4 outputs in the head of the PTZ, the new CP-HSD range is packed with new features that further enhance the safety of sites and make life easier for the installer and integrator.

By offering a greater number of alarm I/Os, the CP-HSD range packs a punch when added to existing sites with a large amount of alarm triggering devices. This eliminates the need for labour-intensive work when installing the new cameras in a pre-existing system. The cameras are designed for large area coverage, supporting more alarm triggering devices to cover and protect a larger area.

CP-HSDs fall into six varieties: 10x zoom lens AHD and IP models, 20x zoom lens AHD and IP models and 30x zoom lens AHD and IP models. With higher capacity for alarm inputs and outputs, the 20x and 30x zoom models are ideally suited to new, legacy or retrofit installs.

The CP-HSD range operates using Sony Starvis sensors, providing high levels of visibility in low light conditions. Back-illuminated pixel technology in the sensor, with sensitivity of 2000mV or more per 1µm2, realises high picture quality in visible and near infrared light conditions. The back-illuminated sensor acquires the image through the rear side where there are no obstacles such as wiring or circuits, allowing a wider range of light to be collected. This achieves higher sensitivity, resulting in colour images for a longer period of time.

Using intelligent infrared technology, multiple IRs are used to ensure the clearest and crispest footage possible in low-light environments. Concept Pro’s advanced IR ensures that the cameras capture usable video when in monochrome mode by adjusting the intensity of the LEDs in relation to the distance of an object. This reduces overexpose the object.

With three IRs to deal with distances of up to 150m, three more to monitor at up to 100m and two specifically for distances of up to 50m, the CP-HSDs utilise Reactive Technology, allowing the cameras to control which IRs are used in each situation.

This features ensures that the new CP-HSDs have unbeatable performance, regardless of lighting conditions. The cameras can display a clear and sharp image in minimal lighting, down to 0.002lux. Complete with retention of image focus when zooming, the CP-HSDs are one of the most capable low-light cameras on offer.

As with all Concept Pro products, the CP-HSDs have been designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind. The external PTZ cameras have been constructed with interchangeable hardware within the back box to allow installers to change from AHD to IP or from IP to AHD with ease. Previously this type of change would have resulted in a complete swap-out. With Concept Pro’s Duplex Integration, an installer can simply change the function box from one platform to the other.

Duplex Integration is ideal in situations where a system upgrade is required. Research shows that most existing analogue installations undergo a process of product replacement prior to a complete AHD or IP upgrade; the new range drastically changes the way this is done. The CP-HSDs can be easily switched from analogue to AHD and to IP with a simple change of one component, meaning that an end user can make savings by opting for a Concept Pro PTZ operating on AHD, which can be upgraded to IP in a matter of minutes.

The new CP-HSD range promises to further the effectiveness of any Concept Pro system, and ensures that the installation and maintenance of the products is as seamless as possible. Darkness should no longer pose a threat to the efficiency of CCTV systems; the CP-HSD can combat low light environments at affordable and reasonable prices.

The new PTZs will be available in the New Year; look out for more information or call Videcon on 01924 528006 today to find out more! All products are available with a 3 year free warranty, including the new PTZ range.
