Qognify has announced the latest release of its Cayuga VMS (R14) places a focus on cybersecurity. With the rise of IP solutions for video surveillance in recent years, dealing with cybersecurity issues to safeguard video installations has become of utmost importance. One of the best ways to reduce network vulnerabilities is to make communications between the different components of the video solution securely encrypted.
A comprehensive role-based access management has been put in place to elevate the level of protection, while meeting the compliance requirements of mission-critical environments.
Cayuga R14’s security architecture has been revamped to ensure internal communication is secure. State-of-the-art encryption is used for the export of videos, so they can only be accessed by authorised persons. Active Directory optimisations ensure login procedures and administration of AD roles are fully aligned with industry standards. As Single Sign On is now supported, there is no need to explicitly sign in to the Cayuga application once Windows login is successful.
