RISCO Group has announced the launch of RISCO Smart Home: its first complete connected home security solution. It aims to provide end-users with a security system that includes home automation, combining video monitoring, energy management, smart access and control of lighting. Managed from the iRISCO smartphone app, Smart Home offers a streamlined lifestyle product designed to deliver convenience.
Smart Home can be integrated as an add-on to legacy systems via the Microsoft Azure powered RISCO Cloud, with no additional training necessary. It can be installed with any choice of panel, allowing installers to provide upgrades for new and existing customers.
Steve Riley, Commercial Director at RISCO UK, stated, ‘With the penetration of smart home systems set to reach 3 per cent of global households by 2018 and 7 per cent by 2025, now is the ideal time for installers to make sure they are offering the best smart home system to their customers. RISCO has long been at the forefront of the IoT movement within the security market, and we’re confident that the launch of Smart Home offers huge revenue generating potential for installers across the UK.’
The launch follows research conducted by RISCO which identified that more than 1 in 2 homeowners with an alarm were interested in installing an alarm system that could control other household systems.
