VIVOTEK has launched two anti-ligature corner dome cameras. Both three–megapixel devices feature an anti-grip design,IK10+ housing and built-in 940nm IR illuminators. The cameras are specially designed for high security environments such as prisons, holding cells, psychiatric wards and correctional institutions, and can reduce the possibility of self-harm and simultaneously protect the safety of staff.
The CD8371-HNVF2 and CD8371-HNTV are designed to be installed in the upper corner of a cell or room, allowing staff to see any event. The cameras boast a wide angle horizontal FOV of 108° and a vertical FOV of 79°. Equipped with shock detection and advanced tampering detection, the units also include two-way audio allowing sound to be monitored and recorded over a range of five metres.
The cameras’ IR illuminators are effective up to 10 metres. The cameras also feature WDR Pro, which captures both dark and bright areas of an image and combines these to create a realistic representation of the original scene. Furthermore, they also deploy SNV technology to ensure quality images under low-light conditions.
