Todd Research has partnered with European manufacturer OD Security to supply advanced body scanners. This collaboration aims to enhance security solutions by integrating OD Security’s state-of-the-art Soter RS body scanner into Todd Research’s product lineup.
OD Security is recognised for its high-quality manufacturing of body scanners, which are known for their precision in detecting concealed items such as weapons, explosives, and contraband. The Soter RS body scanner, noted for its advanced imaging capabilities, is designed for use in high-security environments like airports, prisons, and government facilities. The scanner’s sophisticated image processing ensures thorough and non-intrusive screening, meeting stringent quality and regulatory standards.
Jason Wakefield, Sales Director at Todd Research, stated that the partnership aligns with the company’s mission to provide innovative security solutions and opens new avenues for growth and collaboration.
The partnership between Todd Research and OD Security to supply advanced body scanners is directly relevant to Martyn’s Law, which is proposed legislation in the UK aimed at enhancing security in public venues to prevent terrorism. Martyn’s Law (also known as the Protect Duty) mandates that venues and public spaces implement stricter security measures, including risk assessments and the adoption of appropriate technology to detect and deter potential threats.
The Soter RS body scanner, which Todd Research will now offer through this partnership, could play a crucial role in helping venues comply with Martyn’s Law. The scanner’s advanced imaging capabilities and precision in detecting concealed weapons, explosives, and contraband make it an ideal solution for high-security environments such as concert halls, sports arenas, and other crowded spaces that are considered potential targets for terrorist activities.
