AddSecure focuses on secure, connected communications for critical environments

by Geny Caloisi

Secure communication sits at the heart of every safety system, and AddSecure is continuing to advance how information moves between teams, devices, and monitoring centres. The company is bringing together its expertise in fire alarm signalling and mobile workforce communications to support both resilience and operational efficiency across Europe’s critical sectors.

A central highlight is AddSecure’s certified fire alarm signalling portfolio, designed to meet the needs of installers and service providers as they migrate from legacy connections to secure IP and 4G transmission. The IRIS-4 platform offers intelligent redundancy for alarm transmission, ensuring that communication links remain active even if one network fails. Alongside it, the DALM solution provides a compact and flexible alternative that enables rapid deployment and simplified maintenance – a key consideration for multi-site operations and service providers managing large estates.

These solutions respond to increasing regulatory and operational demands for compliant, always-on alarm transmission, especially where life safety and business continuity are at stake. By focusing on interoperability and ease of migration, AddSecure helps organisations maintain uptime while reducing total lifecycle costs.

The company is also placing strong emphasis on its cloud-based push-to-talk (PTT) portfolio, following its acquisition of GroupTalk earlier this year. The GroupTalk platform enables secure, real-time communication for mobile teams – a vital tool for sectors such as logistics, aviation, and guarding services where reliable coordination directly affects safety and service delivery.

With the GroupTalk App, smartphones running Android or iOS can be transformed into two-way radios, connecting individuals or entire teams instantly through Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC). The PC Dispatch system extends this capability, allowing supervisors to manage multiple teams with features such as GPS tracking, emergency alerts with listen-in functions, full-duplex voice, and live video streaming. Together, these tools offer a powerful alternative to traditional radio systems, providing flexibility, scalability, and secure data management through the cloud.

“AddSecure is redefining how teams stay connected in life- and business-critical environments,” says Wim Harthoorn, Director of International Sales, Smart Alarms, at AddSecure (pictured). “With our expertise and technologies, we can deliver secure, reliable and innovative communications solutions that strengthen operational efficiency, drive growth, and create greater value for customers across Europe.”

These innovations will be demonstrated at Sicurezza 2025, where AddSecure will showcase live applications of its fire alarm signalling and PTT solutions. Visitors can experience the technology first-hand at Hall 5, Stand T12, from 19–21 November at the Fiera Milano.
