CLD Physical Security Systems has unified its brand with Cova Security Gates, completing the integration that began with CLD’s acquisition of Cova in 2024. The move brings both businesses under the CLD name, creating a single specialist partner for perimeter protection, automated access control, and hostile vehicle mitigation.
The merge formalises a year of closer collaboration and aligns two complementary areas of expertise. CLD’s global footprint in high-security perimeter systems now sits alongside Cova’s recognised strength in HVM and automated gate technologies, widening the scope of solutions available to clients operating in sectors such as critical infrastructure and data centres.
Cova’s established service and maintenance offering has been absorbed into the CLD framework, strengthening long-term support for customers. Operational continuity remains unchanged during the transition, with all existing Cova products moving into CLD’s line-up as the new Cova Range. While product names will evolve, the technologies themselves remain familiar to the market.
Teams from both organisations are being integrated into a single structure, supported by training programmes designed to broaden product knowledge across the workforce. Although each company will continue to operate from its current sites, day-to-day processes are now aligned, ensuring a unified customer experience.
The combined brand also increases CLD’s capacity for research and development, paving the way for future product launches aimed at addressing emerging security challenges. Recruitment across sales and operations is already under way to support anticipated growth.
CLD CEO Russell Wells said the merge marks a key step in building a consolidated, trusted source for high-security perimeter solutions, backed by a wider portfolio and enhanced services.
