Abloy Academy training dates for 2024Abloy UK has released its latest training schedule for its Academy and Digital Access Solutions Academy. The courses cover a wide range of topics, from ensuring emergency and panic escape compliance to the latest advancements in digital access technology.

Foundations and Foundations Plus train installers, security managers, end users, and specifiers on safety and security to save lives in emergencies.

Foundations course covers legal performance criteria for access control locking applications for fire and escape doors (BS EN 179 and BS EN 1125) and new BS EN 13637 standard for electronically controlled exit systems.

Foundation Plus is an advanced course for those who complete the first course, providing in-depth knowledge of industry standards and compliance terminology to specify suitable products for a given application and door type.

Both courses are led by Pat Jefferies, Commercial Director at Abloy UK, an expert in locks and door opening solutions. Pat is retained by BSI and CEN as the UK’s electric locking technical expert, and is a member of committees responsible for the development and improvement of new standards and legislation across Europe.

Launched in 2022, the Digital Access Solutions Academy is a purpose-built facility to showcase, work with, install and test Abloy’s extensive range of products, with particular focus on new digital solutions and ecosystems.

It offers training on solutions such as CLIQ, Incedo, SMARTair, Aperio, and the ePED Escape Door System. Courses are led by Johnathon Dale, Digital Access Solutions Academy Manager, and are designed to help installers meet the needs of the fast-changing market for smarter security.

All courses take place at Abloy UK headquarters in Willenhall, West Midlands. Most courses are free of charge, offering attendees a complimentary educational experience.
