Amthal has completed a full-scale security and fire safety integration for Tradestars’ latest co-warehousing site in Hackney Wick, East London, supporting the start-up hub’s mission to provide secure, connected, collaborative workspaces for growing businesses.
Tradestars offers flexible, shared warehousing environments designed for entrepreneurs who need scalable space with access to communal facilities. Its new Hackney Wick location spans multiple blocks and includes residential accommodation, presenting unique challenges in ensuring consistent security and connectivity across the site.
Working from the early design stages, Amthal designed and installed a fully integrated technology stack. This included fibre infrastructure, Wi-Fi, audiovisual systems, access control, security, and fire safety – all tailored to support both operational needs and the expectations of a mobile-first user base.

A comprehensive risk assessment guided the design and deployment of the systems, ensuring full coverage across shared spaces, individual work areas and communal amenities. Members benefit from streamlined access to the building and its services, while site managers have a centralised interface for security and building operations.
