Asilab Proposes Brain-Inspired AI Model and Seeks Strategic Partners

by Geny Caloisi

Asilab, a Finnish research and technology company founded by the creators of AppGyver, is introducing a new form of artificial intelligence based on human brain architecture. The company claims its patented system, called Asinoid, represents a departure from conventional large language model (LLM) approaches. Asilab is now seeking international business partners and new team members to co-develop sector-specific applications and accelerate market entry.

Unlike LLMs, which rely on pre-trained outputs in response to user prompts, Asinoid is designed to function autonomously. It continuously learns, plans, and adapts in real time. At the core of the system is a modelled brain that operates within a ‘Reality Host’—this can be a robot, drone system, or software environment. The system includes permanent memory, neuroplasticity, and an ability to evolve without retraining.

According to CTO Pavel Jacko, Asinoid is not simulating intelligence but instead replicates core aspects of cognition, allowing it to develop independently over time. Asilab claims the platform can integrate existing machine learning models as components within its broader intelligence architecture.

The company sees early application potential in sectors such as robotics, law enforcement, software engineering, commerce, and industrial automation. Asinoid can reportedly function on modest computing infrastructure, removing the high processing requirements typical of LLM-based systems.

Chairman Marko Lehtimäki says Asilab’s long-term goal is to make this form of intelligence widely accessible, with a near-term focus on B2B integration. Consumer applications are planned at a later stage. The company positions itself as a research-first entity and states its intention to develop the technology responsibly.

Asilab is currently engaging with industry stakeholders and technology partners to pilot deployments and co-create tailored use cases for Asinoid across a range of commercial environments.
