ASSA ABLOY Commercial Group has appointed Bob Kemp as Regional Sales Manager for the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, strengthening its dedicated Locksmith Division.
Kemp has been with ASSA ABLOY for more than a decade, holding positions within the Exidor brand and, most recently, in business development for door closers. His new role places him at the forefront of the company’s engagement with locksmiths, a sector where building long-standing relationships and providing expert local support remain central priorities.
“I’ve worked with many locksmiths over the years and really value the relationships we’ve built,” said Kemp. “This new role gives me the chance to focus more closely on the sector and be part of a team that’s genuinely invested in supporting it. I’m looking forward to being out there with customers, helping to make sure they get what they need quickly and without hassle.”
The Locksmith Division was created to bring together recognised brands under the ASSA ABLOY portfolio, including ASSA, UNION and Mul-T-Lock. It was designed to offer locksmiths clearer points of contact, streamlined service and a more integrated approach to both mechanical and digital solutions.
Commenting on the appointment, Nigel Taylor, Director & Head of Locksmiths UKI – Commercial Group, said: “We’ve listened carefully to what the industry wants, and Bob’s appointment is another step in making sure we deliver. His knowledge, his relationships, and his ability to get things done make him a great fit for the team, and his starting point is perfectly timed as we look forward to MLA Expo and beyond.”
With the MLA Expo on the horizon, the division will be showcasing its continued commitment to the locksmith community, underlining the importance of sector-specific support, new product innovations, and a long-term strategy for working closely with locksmiths across the UK and Ireland.
