CPA Group Enhances Site Security with Abloy’s PROTEC2 CLIQ

by Geny Caloisi

Abloy UK has delivered a tailored access control solution for CPA Group’s headquarters in Shotts, Lanarkshire, equipping the site with its PROTEC2 CLIQ system. The upgrade replaces mechanical keys with an advanced electronic system, streamlining access, improving audibility, and offering remote site management.

Operating in a highly regulated sector, CPA Group needed to improve both operational efficiency and asset protection, especially for equipment stored in containers and site safes. Frequent site visits by engineers made traditional key management impractical—keys were often misplaced or unavailable when needed, and access could not be tracked.

Abloy’s PROTEC2 CLIQ resolved these issues by offering secure, programmable keys and cylinders. Installation was completed with minimal disruption, thanks to the system’s compatibility with existing locks. The CLIQ External Wall PD further supported remote key programming, ensuring engineers always had appropriate access.

Full audit trails now provide CPA Group with visibility over who accessed what, and when. Lost or stolen keys can be quickly deactivated, and access can be scheduled to fit operational needs. This has resulted in improved site control and greater security of critical equipment.

Ian Chalmers, Project Manager at CPA Group, said: “The successful implementation of PROTEC2 CLIQ has increased not only our security, but our efficiency. It has also provided us with a platform for future expansion, both within the UK and internationally.”

Rory Grant, Regional Specification Manager at Abloy UK, added: “It has been a collaborative journey with CPA Group to safeguard their assets, streamline operations and ensure peace of mind.”
