DeterTech Launches new Alarm Receiving Centre in Prestwick

by Geny Caloisi

DeterTech will officially open its newly built BS EN 50518:2019 Category 1 Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) in Prestwick on Wednesday, 8 October. Designed to meet the highest standards of resilience and performance, the facility is set to become a central hub for site security operations across the UK and Europe.

To mark the launch, DeterTech is hosting an industry event that combines live demonstrations, behind-the-scenes tours and expert-led discussions. Attendees will gain a first-hand look at how the ARC manages up to 600,000 activations each month, delivering real-time intruder detection to protect assets and disrupt organised criminal gangs.

The programme includes exclusive insights into the technology and infrastructure that underpin the centre’s capabilities, from bomb-resistant glass to a dedicated off-grid power supply for high-security monitoring of critical infrastructure. The event will also feature talks from specialists across law enforcement and the crime intelligence community, including Detective Inspector Lawrence Billi of OPAL, the national police intelligence unit for serious organised acquisitive crime.

Mark Fitzpatrick, Director of Group Operations at DeterTech, said, “We’re thrilled to open our ARC to the public and share some exciting behind-the-scenes access to the beating heart of our site security operations. This will be a great opportunity to bring a group of security, construction and industry professionals together to collaborate and celebrate the latest innovations.”
