Bird Home Automation, the company behind the DoorBird brand and part of Assa Abloy, has added another accolade to its portfolio. The D11x series of compact door stations for detached and semi-detached homes has been honoured with the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2025 in the home technology category.

Judged by a panel of 131 independent design experts, the D11x series stood out for its sleek, elegant design, versatile functionality, and commitment to sustainability. This year, environmental impact played a crucial role in the judging process, accounting for 20% of the overall assessment. The resource-efficient production of the D11x series was a key factor in securing the award.

Regarded as one of the world’s most esteemed design competitions, the iF DESIGN AWARD recognises excellence across multiple disciplines, including product, packaging, communication, and service design, as well as architecture, interior design, user experience, and user interface. With around 11,000 entries submitted annually, the award remains a benchmark for outstanding design.

Organised by iF International Forum Design GmbH, one of the longest-established independent design institutions, the award has celebrated innovation and design excellence for over 70 years.

The recognition of the D11x series reinforces DoorBird’s commitment to combining cutting-edge technology with premium design and sustainability, setting new standards in modern door communication solutions.
