Hanwha Vision has unveiled the SPS-A100M Audio Beacon, a new AI-driven audio surveillance solution designed to deliver rapid awareness and response in critical situations. Featuring a 90dB speaker, five integrated microphones, and advanced sound classification, the device enhances real-time communication and situational awareness across a wide range of environments.
From schools and hospitals to offices and restricted areas where video monitoring may not be suitable, the Audio Beacon provides an immediate layer of awareness through high-volume alerts and two-way, full-duplex audio. Its high-visibility LED ring acts as both a deterrent and reassurance, signalling to those on-site that an incident has been detected and help is on the way.
At the core of the system is Hanwha Vision’s AI-powered sound classification, capable of recognising specific sounds such as screams or breaking glass. Combined with direction-finding algorithms, the device supports operators in quickly pinpointing where an incident is unfolding – a valuable advantage in fast-moving or complex environments.
The Audio Beacon’s design also prioritises communication clarity. Its noise-reducing microphones and powerful speaker ensure clear interaction even in challenging or noisy conditions, whether broadcasting warnings, engaging directly with intruders, or issuing instructions during an emergency.
