Hanwha Vision has launched its latest Q Series fisheye cameras, designed to deliver advanced AI analytics alongside comprehensive 360-degree monitoring. With models tailored for both indoor (QNF-C9010) and outdoor (QNF-C9010V) use, these cameras are perfectly suited to retail, hospitality, public spaces, and residential environments.
Powered by industry-leading AI algorithms, the Q Series fisheye cameras deliver accurate object detection and classification, significantly reducing false alarms caused by wildlife, changing light conditions, or weather. Each camera generates object metadata, streamlining forensic searches even in complex scenes. Users can search footage by detected vehicles, people, or even the colour of clothing (upper and lower) and vehicle colour, with nine colour options including black, white, grey, and primary colours.
The cameras also offer a suite of intelligent video analytics — from virtual area detection and object disappearance to line-crossing alerts. Customisable rules can trigger notifications for scenarios such as a person lingering in a space or a vehicle crossing into a designated area, enhancing situational awareness and security.
Business Intelligence for Better Decisions
Beyond security, the Q Series fisheye cameras bring valuable business insights through features like heatmapping, people and vehicle counting, and queue management. These tools empower retailers to optimise staffing at checkout counters, help venue operators manage capacity, and assist marketers in deciding where to place advertising. By turning video data into actionable insights, these cameras add value across marketing, sales, and operations.
Clear, Versatile Images in a Compact Design
To ensure clear, undistorted images, the cameras come with on-board dewarping technology, stretching footage into a wide, horizontal field of view without edge distortion. Users can choose between single four-frame views, double or single panoramas, and quad views to suit their monitoring needs.
The QNF-C9010 is a compact, discreet option at just 52mm in height, ideal for indoor ceiling or wall mounting. For outdoor installations, the QNF-C9010V boasts a robust aluminium casing with IP66 and IK10 ratings for weather and vandal resistance.
Advanced Cybersecurity Built-In
Security is a top priority. The Q Series fisheye cameras feature end-to-end cybersecurity measures, including user and network authentication, secure communication, IP-based access controls, and secure storage. Footage and data are protected, with hacking risks mitigated through unauthorised access blocking.
John Lutz Boorman, Head of Product and Marketing at Hanwha Vision Europe, said: “The latest Q Series fisheye cameras bring the power of AI to 360-degree monitoring, helping operators and businesses make smarter decisions. With compact, discreet designs and advanced business intelligence features, these cameras are built to meet the needs of a wide range of applications.”
