Harper Chalice Transitions to Hirsch UK

by Geny Caloisi

In a move designed to consolidate market presence and expand global capabilities, perimeter intrusion detection specialist Harper Chalice has announced it will now operate under the Hirsch brand in the UK. The rebranding aligns the company more closely with its parent group, Vitaprotech, and marks a significant shift in how its high-security technologies will be delivered both domestically and internationally.

Harper Chalice, long regarded as a key provider of National Protective Security Authority (NPSA)-approved perimeter detection solutions in the UK, has formally merged its product portfolio and operations with Hirsch—a name already established in the Americas for high-security physical access control, analytics and security monitoring systems.

The integration follows Vitaprotech’s acquisition of Hirsch in September 2024 and builds on its earlier acquisition of Harper Chalice in 2023. This latest development consolidates both brands under the Hirsch name in the UK, expanding their reach while strengthening their ability to offer enterprise-level security solutions across multiple sectors.

Adam O’Reilly, previously Managing Director of Harper Chalice and now leading Hirsch’s UK operation, said:
“This combination of our business activities and name change represents much more than a rebrand – it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. We’ll continue our development and offer a more comprehensive and innovative range of high-security solutions to our customers.”

O’Reilly noted that the move brings together complementary expertise, allowing the new entity to offer a full suite of integrated technologies across perimeter protection, access control, video surveillance, analytics, and command-and-control systems. Importantly, the Hirsch brand’s global scale will also enable enhanced investment in product development and customer support across time zones.

Harper Chalice products, already deployed in some of the UK’s most secure locations, will now also be available across the Americas. This expanded reach complements Hirsch’s footprint in the US and offers customers in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond access to a broader range of solutions via shared technical capabilities and streamlined global logistics.

Thibaut Galland, Chief Operating Officer of Vitaprotech UK and Managing Director of TDSi, will now also oversee operations at Hirsch UK. He commented, “This evolution underscores our dedication to providing a complete portfolio of world-class high-security solutions in the UK. We believe that this change will put us in a stronger position for the future, leveraging our combined strengths to deliver even greater value to our clients.”

The rebranding is the first in a series of strategic moves planned by the Vitaprotech Group, aimed at enhancing its combined offer in the UK, the US, and beyond. The move reinforces Vitaprotech’s commitment to providing advanced, integrated physical security systems at scale, suited for critical infrastructure, government, defence, and enterprise environments.

For existing Harper Chalice customers, the transition to the Hirsch name will not impact current support arrangements. Instead, clients can expect continuity in service alongside access to a richer set of technologies, drawing from both companies’ innovation pipelines.

This development signals a broader trend in the security sector: the consolidation of specialist expertise under unified global brands. For customers, the benefits include enhanced interoperability, consistent support, and access to solutions capable of addressing complex, multi-site security requirements.
