HID simplifies security integration with new cloud-based platform

by Geny Caloisi

HID has launched its Integration Service, a cloud-native platform designed to streamline the way physical security, identity management and cybersecurity systems connect and communicate.

Built for developers, solution providers and integrators, the new service helps eliminate the high cost and complexity of traditional integrations. It provides a scalable, secure foundation for building connected, software-driven security ecosystems.

“Organisations have long struggled with brittle integrations that are expensive to maintain,” says Martin Ladstaetter, SVP of Identity and Access Management Solutions at HID. “The HID Integration Service brings everything together—physical and digital—making it faster and easier to develop robust, future-ready solutions.”

A platform built for modern security needs

By simplifying system interoperability, the platform supports faster deployment and improved user experience. It includes:

  • A scalable integration layer for both simple and complex environments.
  • Pre-built connectors that speed up deployment and reduce engineering overhead.

Early adopters are already seeing results. SwiftConnect and CloudCard are using the platform to accelerate innovation in commercial real estate and ID management, respectively.

“The alignment of our goals with HID’s roadmap allows us to better serve customers across enterprise environments,” says Matt Kopel, co-founder and co-CEO of SwiftConnect.

Luke Rettstatt, CEO of CloudCard, adds: “For a small team like ours, HID’s platform frees us to focus on core development rather than managing a tangle of third-party integrations.”

As revealed in HID’s 2025 State of Security and Identity Report, 67% of security leaders are transitioning to software-led ecosystems, with integration and unified data collection emerging as top priorities.

With the HID Integration Service, the company is stepping up to meet this demand, making it easier to build connected, efficient and secure solutions for a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
