HKC, part of the Secure Holdings group and a well-established name in intruder alarm solutions across the UK and Ireland, has appointed John Oliver as Product Manager — a move aimed at reinforcing its focus on innovation and future-ready product development.
John brings over 15 years of industry experience, having built his career across a mix of technical, product, and strategic roles. He began at Visonic in 2010, where he moved quickly from technical support into pre-sales and product development. That early progression highlighted not only his technical acumen but also a clear understanding of what the market needs.
In 2016, he joined Pyronix (Hikvision) as Product Manager before taking on a senior regional role at ASSA ABLOY in 2020, where he led the Yale smart alarm category across EMEIA. His experience spans both professional-grade and DIY systems — a rare combination that gives him deep insight into the expectations of installers, integrators, and consumers alike.
At HKC, John will manage the current product portfolio and take an active role in shaping the next generation of offerings. Working closely with R&D, sales and marketing, he’s set to play a key part in ensuring that HKC’s products continue to deliver on both innovation and practical performance.
“I’m very excited about this new role and the chance to contribute to HKC’s success,” said John. “HKC has a fantastic reputation for delivering quality products, and I’m particularly looking forward to working alongside a passionate, forward-thinking team to help bring the next wave of innovation to market.”
His appointment reinforces HKC’s long-term commitment to designing products that are simple to install, easy to sell, and genuinely effective for users — whether at home or in the workplace.
