i-PRO has unveiled the U-series, its first entry-level security camera range equipped with edge AI capabilities. This launch marks a milestone as AI-driven object detection technology is now available across all i-PRO camera lines.
Designed for installations requiring AI-enhanced detection without complex forensic search capabilities, the U-series delivers essential features for security applications. These cameras effectively detect intruders, loitering, direction, line crossing, and speeding, using edge processing to improve efficiency without compromising performance.

Advanced Imaging and AI Analytics
The U-series introduces higher-resolution imaging options, with 2MP, 5MP, and 4K dome, box, and bullet cameras, ensuring enhanced clarity. Key features include:
- AI-Driven Video Analytics – AI-based Video Motion Detection (AI-VMD) improves accuracy in object recognition and movement tracking.
- Audio Recording Capabilities – Enhances situational awareness by capturing critical sound-based events.
- Enhanced Optical Zoom – Provides superior image focus, improving both clarity and analytics precision.
Cloud-Ready for Seamless Integration
Designed to complement direct-to-cloud Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) deployments, the U-series offers a scalable and flexible security solution. Future firmware updates will introduce additional features, enhancing system adaptability. Combining direct-to-cloud connectivity with edge AI, these cameras reduce bandwidth consumption while delivering real-time insights for faster response times and improved data privacy.
Strengthening Cybersecurity Standards
As AI technology expands across i-PRO’s product lines, cybersecurity remains a priority. While many manufacturers adhere to FIPS 140-2, the U-series surpasses this with FIPS 140-3 Level 3 compliance, featuring an NXP EdgeLock secure element. This certification reinforces protection against tampering, unauthorized access, and key extraction, ensuring industry-leading security. Secure boot functionality further mitigates cyber risks by preventing unauthorised firmware modifications.

The U-series consists of 28 models, with 15 featuring edge AI analytics and 13 serving as non-AI replacements. AI-enabled models will be available from June/July, with non-AI models launching later in the year.
