IDIS Europe has appointed Brian Lee as its new Managing Director, marking a strategic move to accelerate the adoption of next-generation AI video surveillance solutions across the UK and mainland Europe.
Lee, previously Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales Development for IDIS Americas, played a key role in expanding the company’s presence in North and Latin America. Before his time in the US, he led the Global Strategy Team at IDIS headquarters in South Korea – the country’s largest video technology manufacturer.
Based in London, Lee will now oversee the continued growth of IDIS Europe, supported by an expanded sales team and renewed emphasis on marketing, public relations, and channel partnerships. His appointment comes at a pivotal moment for IDIS as the company introduces a new generation of deep learning-powered technologies designed to enhance performance, usability, and value.
Under Lee’s leadership, IDIS will focus on promoting solutions built around the company’s proprietary deep learning engine, IDLA Pro. Recent product developments include the Edge AI Plus camera range, IDIS A-Cut/AI Search, and Smart Privacy Masks – innovations aimed at improving operational efficiency and accessibility of AI-driven video surveillance.
“In recent months, our AI-powered technologies have strengthened the case for upgrading surveillance systems,” said Lee. “Features such as faster, more intuitive video search, improved real-time privacy masking, and more flexible deployment options are making it easier for organisations to enhance both security and operational insight. As the UK prepares for the implementation of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, we see growing demand for proactive, preventative video solutions that deliver measurable value.”
Lee emphasised that the company’s ongoing investment in AI innovation reflects IDIS’s commitment to delivering reliable, affordable and effective video systems for the security industry.

Brian Lee brings over two decades of international management experience to the role, including senior positions at LG Electronics. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Korea University in Seoul.
