IDIS has added two AI-enabled PTZ cameras to its portfolio, giving security teams more options for monitoring wide or complex environments. The new models are built to support control rooms that need reliable tracking, strong low-light performance, and tools that help operators stay focused during busy periods.
The latest additions – the 4MP AI PTZ LightMaster (DC-S6481HRA) and the compact 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA) – join the company’s recent Edge AI Plus releases. Both sit within its NDAA-compliant range and are designed for use across a mix of settings, from public spaces and commercial offices to logistics hubs, retail sites and perimeter applications.
A core element of the line-up is IDIS Deep Learning Analytics, powered by the company’s own deep learning engine. The system supports operators by identifying and classifying activity in real time, helping distinguish people and vehicles from background movement such as shadows or foliage. AI auto-tracking takes this a step further by locking onto a selected target and following it automatically, adjusting zoom and angle as the subject moves. Cameras can hand over tracking between each other, ensuring continuous coverage across adjoining areas.
Alongside tracking, the analytics support object, intruder and loitering detection, using metadata to reduce false alarms and streamline searches and incident reviews. Two-way audio is included as standard.
Both cameras feature Electronic Image Stabilisation to maintain clarity during movement, while Smart Failover protects recording continuity if the network drops. The LightMaster model delivers NIR night vision up to 400 metres and carries IK10 and IP66 ratings for durability, making it suitable for exposed or demanding sites. The smaller 5MP PTZ offers a 100-metre NIR range and a form factor suited to locations where space is limited but performance expectations remain high.
Jun-Kyung Sung, who leads product planning at IDIS, said the expanded range gives integrators and end users more flexibility when designing systems. According to Sung, the combination of advanced analytics and responsive PTZ control means operators can maintain awareness even during peak activity.
As with the wider DirectIP family, the new PTZs support straightforward setup with automatic configuration and one-click connection, simplifying installation and day-to-day maintenance.
