North has expanded its managed support services with the launch of its North Care portfolio, a structured approach to optimising, protecting and securing IT networks, operational technology (OT) systems and cybersecurity infrastructure.
The services are designed to provide organisations with long-term support, focusing on resilience, compliance and operational efficiency. With increasing demands on connected systems – from building access and fire detection to CCTV and critical IT networks – the offering aims to ease the burden of day-to-day management, while ensuring performance and security are maintained at scale.
The North Care portfolio is split across three service categories: Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Network Management, and Managed Detection & Response (MDR). Together, they target the full lifecycle of system support, ranging from hardware upkeep to proactive cyber threat monitoring.
In the area of PPM, North offers two levels of service: Maintain Care, which delivers a structured 12-month maintenance schedule, and Complete Care, which provides higher assurance levels for critical and complex systems. Both are designed to improve system reliability and extend asset lifespan across a wide range of infrastructure, including safety, security, fire and audio-visual systems.
For organisations facing increasing challenges in connectivity and cybersecurity, North’s Network Management packages offer tiered support. Essential Care focuses on smaller, less complex environments, while Enhanced Care provides proactive remote and on-site assistance for larger or interconnected operations. At the highest tier, Total Care delivers comprehensive IT and OT network support, including the option to fully outsource onsite service management. This approach is underpinned by ITIL-based processes and a central Network Management Centre, aligning technical delivery with recognised standards.
North is also placing emphasis on cybersecurity resilience through its Managed Detection & Response services. Delivered in partnership with a UK-based Security Operations Centre, the MDR offering integrates with North’s Service Desk to deliver continuous monitoring, rapid incident detection and structured response playbooks. Two models are available: Standard Cyber Care, designed for organisations without their own logging infrastructure, and Advanced Cyber Care, suited to mature environments already running platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel or SIEM/SOAR solutions.
According to the company, the rationale behind North Care is to act as an extension of client teams, enabling them to focus on core operations while ensuring critical digital and physical infrastructure is maintained, secured and compliant. This is particularly relevant to sectors where system uptime and data protection are business-critical, such as healthcare, education, and critical national infrastructure.
By standardising processes and tailoring support levels, North is positioning North Care as a flexible managed service framework that can evolve with an organisation’s changing requirements. In an environment where both operational technology and IT systems are increasingly interconnected, such managed services are becoming a necessary strategy for organisations seeking to balance efficiency with resilience.
