Encore Atlantic Shores, a gated community in Eastport, New York, has upgraded its access control system to Paxton’s Net2 solution. The residential complex, designed for over-55s and comprising 240 homes, required a modern, centralised system to replace its legacy infrastructure. Local integrator CWC Security was brought in to specify and deliver the solution.
The site’s layout – including a clubhouse, multiple gated access points, and seasonal facilities such as a pool – required flexible and scalable management. Net2 was selected for its ability to integrate with the site’s existing systems and to provide centralised control across areas operating on different networks.
Net2 was deployed to manage entry across all primary internal and external points, including gates and communal facilities. The system now enables the site’s management team to administer permissions through a single interface. Residents are issued keyfobs programmed to their specific access levels, while service providers and temporary users can be granted scheduled access via the system’s intuitive permissions settings.
The main and secondary gates, used respectively for resident entry and service access, have also been integrated into the Net2 software. These gates can now be remotely operated, simplifying the process of allowing deliveries or waste collection vehicles on-site. According to CWC Security, the use of “triggers and actions” in the Net2 platform allowed them to customise gate operations to the community’s specific routines.

Encore’s management team now benefits from improved oversight, simplified operations, and increased reliability across the estate’s access infrastructure.
