The Security Industry Association (SIA) is once again inviting applications for its RISE Scholarship programme, designed to support the next generation of professionals shaping the security industry.
Open to SIA student members and RISE members employed by SIA member companies, the initiative offers $3,000 scholarships to help recipients further their education and career development. The funds can be used for continuing education, student loan repayment, or professional training and certification programmes across key disciplines such as business, IT, marketing, project management, security engineering and risk management.
The Security Industry Association (SIA) has named 23 recipients (with a balanced number of male and female winners) for this year’s SIA RISE Scholarship, a program offered through SIA’s RISE community, which supports the education and career development goals of young professionals and emerging leaders in the security industry. The scholarships are funded through tax-deductible donations to the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) and have become a recognised way for employers and peers to invest in emerging talent within the sector.
“This programme is about empowering young professionals to grow within the industry while giving them practical financial support to reach their career goals,” said a SIA representative.
Recipients can apply their award towards a range of professional opportunities, including SIA’s own offerings such as the Security Project Management seminars, Securing New Ground and SIA GovSummit conferences. Scholarships can also fund external courses related to physical security, cybersecurity or information technology, as well as student loan repayments.
The 2025 RISE Scholarship is backed by several leading industry donors, including Allegion, Axis, Brivo, Convergint, Genetec, HID, i-PRO and Securitas Technology – reflecting a shared commitment across the sector to developing young talent and encouraging innovation.
Applications are now open to eligible SIA students and RISE members worldwide. Full details on how to apply can be found on the Security Industry Association’s website.
