Skills for Security is preparing to welcome guests to the third edition of Engineering Futures: A Celebration, its flagship event recognising progress, partnerships and people across the fire and security sectors.
This year, the celebration moves to the prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering in London, marking a step up in both stature and ambition. The event brings together employers, sponsors and training advocates to reflect on sector developments and share a collective vision for the future of technical education in the UK.
David Scott, Managing Director at Skills for Security, said: “This is more than just a celebration—it’s a statement of intent. We’re proud to highlight the strength of our partnerships and the real difference our programmes are making to young people, employers and the wider industry. Moving the event to the Royal Academy underlines just how far we’ve come—and how ambitious we are for the future.”
The evening will showcase stories of innovation and transformation, shining a spotlight on the organisations actively shaping the future of fire and security. A new employer awards segment will recognise excellence in training and workforce development, presenting three dedicated accolades.
Guests will also gain insight into the direction of travel for Skills for Security, including updates on new partnerships, strategic investments and the continued expansion of its training portfolio. This includes the introduction of a dedicated Careers Fair and initiatives designed to keep learning relevant and responsive to real-world needs.
Simon Banks, Chairman of Skills for Security, said: “This celebration is about recognising those who invest in people. It’s also about inspiring the next generation. As our community grows, our impact grows with it—and I look forward to welcoming our partners to what promises to be a memorable evening.”
Engineering Futures: A Celebration takes place on Tuesday, 10th June 2025, from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the Royal Academy of Engineering in London.
