Smiths Detection has been awarded a contract by Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) to deploy its latest checkpoint screening technology across all terminals at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
The contract includes the supply of the HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX Model-S, a computed tomography (CT) system designed to enhance passenger screening through improved threat detection and higher throughput. The system leverages AI and machine learning to deliver more accurate results with minimal disruption to passenger flow.
The deployment supports DAEP’s commitment to advanced airport infrastructure and aligns with its goal of maintaining high security standards while improving operational efficiency at one of the world’s busiest travel hubs
