Verkada and Simac Strengthen Cloud Security Integration in the Benelux

by Geny Caloisi

Verkada has formed a new partnership with Simac, a well-established IT service provider in the Benelux region, to deliver advanced cloud-based physical security solutions. The collaboration aims to help businesses modernise their infrastructure, enhance operational visibility, and simplify system management through a unified, data-driven approach.

Simac will now include Verkada’s integrated platform – which combines video security, access control, air quality monitoring, and workplace management tools – within its technology offering. By doing so, the company can provide clients with a single, cloud-managed system that improves both security performance and operational insight.

“Simac’s local expertise and long-standing customer relationships make them a strong partner as we continue to grow across Europe,” said Ben Watkin, Director of Channel Sales, EMEA at Verkada. “Our EMEA customer base has grown nearly 50% year-over-year — a clear sign that demand for simple, scalable, cloud-based solutions is accelerating. Together with Simac, we’ll help more organisations modernise legacy systems and gain real-time operational insights.”

Founded in California, Verkada is recognised for its cloud-first approach to physical security, which simplifies installation, monitoring, and management. Its unified system allows organisations to connect multiple building technologies on one platform, reducing complexity and improving response times. For many businesses, the transition from on-premises systems to cloud-based management represents a major step towards efficiency and scalability.

For Simac, the decision to partner with Verkada reflects a continued commitment to supporting digital transformation in the Benelux. The company has a long history of working with innovative technology providers that prioritise performance and reliability.

“Many organisations in the Benelux are rethinking outdated infrastructure, and cloud adoption is a key part of that shift,” said Peter Plaum, Director New Business at Simac. “What we value in Verkada is not just the technology, but the shared mindset: customer-first, agile, and committed to solving problems through innovation. That makes Verkada a strong cultural and strategic fit for Simac.”

The timing of this partnership is significant. Across Europe, businesses in sectors such as retail, healthcare, and manufacturing are increasingly looking for integrated systems that extend beyond traditional security. Verkada’s intelligent platform provides tools for analytics and operational insights, including Heatmaps, people counting, and POS integration. These features allow organisations to streamline investigations, optimise staffing, and make data-backed decisions.

Simac’s customers are expected to benefit from a system that not only secures assets and people but also delivers measurable business value. Verkada’s architecture is designed for scale, enabling businesses to expand operations and add new functionalities without extensive infrastructure investment.

Both companies view this collaboration as a way to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen cyber-physical resilience in the region. As businesses continue to move away from legacy systems, cloud-based platforms are becoming central to managing distributed environments securely and efficiently.

Through this partnership, Verkada and Simac are positioning themselves to meet the evolving needs of modern enterprises, offering a security solution that is cloud-first, data-driven, and built for the connected future.
