
Cloud-based security provider Verkada has appointed Micah Deriso as its new Head of Global Channel, signalling a renewed focus on its partner network. Deriso, who has a background in driving growth through partnerships, will oversee the company’s global channel strategy and relationships with integrators, resellers, and distributors.
Verkada, which operates in 93 countries and serves more than 30,000 customers, relies on its network of 8,400 partners to deliver its security solutions. With Deriso now at the helm of its channel operations, the company is expanding investment in co-marketing initiatives, partner training, and resources to support growth opportunities for its partners.
Eric Salava, Chief Revenue Officer at Verkada, said the appointment reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its partner ecosystem. “Micah brings extensive experience in the technology industry and a track record of success in the channel space. Under his leadership, we will deepen our relationships with partners, providing them with the tools and expertise they need to grow their businesses and enhance security for their customers.”
Deriso joins Verkada from K2View, where he served as Chief Growth Officer, leading global channel partnerships and go-to-market strategies for Generative AI solutions. He has also held senior sales and leadership roles at Conga and Informatica.

His appointment comes after Verkada’s $200 million Series E funding round, which valued the company at $4.5 billion. The firm has also been expanding its presence internationally, recently appointing Boudewijn Pesch as Vice President of JAPAC Channel Sales. In recognition of its growing partner network, Verkada recently acknowledged its top-performing partners, highlighting those who have demonstrated strong growth, customer focus, and collaboration.
