WBM renews partnership with Nineteen Group to back UK’s leading safety and security shows

by Geny Caloisi

Western Business Media (WBM) has extended its strategic partnership with Nineteen Group through a new multi-year agreement, cementing ongoing collaboration across the Safety and Security Series. The agreement ensures continued media support from WBM’s leading publications for The Security Event, The Fire Safety Event, The Health and Safety Event and The Workplace Event.

This renewal marks a significant milestone in a relationship that has grown over the past six years—one that has helped position these shows as key dates in the calendar for professionals across the security, fire, safety and workplace sectors.

Under the terms of the renewed partnership, WBM titles will continue to offer extensive preview coverage and on-site distribution at each of the Nineteen Group events. The media alignments remain as follows:

  • Security Matters continues as Lead Media Partner for The Security Event
  • Fire Safety Matters retains Lead Media Partner status for The Fire Safety Event
  • Health and Safety Matters remains Lead Media Partner for The Health and Safety Event
  • PSi and Benchmark will continue as Media Partners for The Security Event and The Fire Safety Event
  • Cleaning Matters stays on as Media Partner for The Workplace Event

The collaboration extends beyond event coverage. Nineteen Group has also confirmed its continued sponsorship of WBM’s flagship industry awards: the Safety and Health Excellence Awards, the Fire and Security Matters Awards, and the PSi Premier Awards.

Tristan Norman, Group Director at Nineteen, reflected on the renewed agreement, “This partnership brings a fresh sense of purpose. By building on our shared history and combining it with new momentum, we’re committed to delivering deeper value and stronger connections for our audiences.”

Mark Sennett, CEO at Western Business Media, added, “We’re proud to continue this close collaboration with Nineteen Group. The Safety and Security Series has become the go-to trade show platform for professionals in our industry. When we acquired our publications from Nineteen in 2019, we promised to continue working together, and that commitment has only grown stronger. We’re excited to keep supporting and growing with these outstanding events.”

The renewed partnership underscores a shared commitment to industry excellence, with both organisations focused on championing innovation, professional development, and meaningful engagement across the UK safety and security landscape.
