Hikvision has launched a new eco-friendly digital video recorder, the eDVR Series. Designed to provide reliable and efficient video recording and management solutions for various security applications, it requires half the energy consumption compared to a conventional DVR, and it's small enough to be held in the palm of the hand.
Hikvision's eDVR Series offers high-definition video recording capabilities, allowing users to capture clear, detailed footage. A solid-state drive in the system delivers high-performance storage for video monitoring applications. As a result, no HDD installation is required, and the DVR performs better with extended capacity - saving users money and time. This also means its physical structure is more stable and durable, even in extreme operating conditions. The eSSD's robustness has been confirmed by JEDEC (Global Standards for the Microelectronics Industry) through stress testing equivalent to a minimum of 10 years of use. Hikvision's Scene-Adaptive Bitrate Control technology predicts the amount of storage an eDVR will consume. eDVRs accurately allocate a higher bitrate based on the complexity of a scene when they analyse a high-complexity scene. The bitrate will be much lower in a scene without moving objects or with few moving objects. This allows a 20% improvement in the coding efficiency. The ‘screw-less' design makes tool-free installation possible and easy. The devices come with intuitive interfaces and user-friendly menus, simplifying the setup and configuration process. This can save time and effort during installation and make it more convenient for users to manage their surveillance systems. Hikvision's eDVR Series is designed to integrate seamlessly with other security systems and devices, such as IP cameras and alarms. This interoperability allows users to create comprehensive security solutions tailored to their requirements. The eDVRs feature Hikvision's Motion Detection 2.0 or AcuSense, which detects people and vehicles accurately. By reducing false alarms triggered by animals and falling leaves, users can concentrate on real threats. With a smart fan function and biodegradable packaging, the eDVR Series is Hikvision’s answer to offering energy-efficient, cost-saving and reliable data storage.
