TDSi Launches Installer Training at Harper Chalice’s Security Hub

by Geny Caloisi
Access control manufacturer TDSi has expanded its training programme, introducing free installer training sessions at Harper Chalice’s new Integrated Security Hub in Coventry. This Midlands-based facility, newly refurbished by fellow Vitaprotech Group member Harper Chalice, offers a convenient central location to provide hands-on training for TDSi’s GARDiS access control solutions.

The new sessions complement TDSi’s long-standing monthly training courses at its headquarters in Poole, Dorset. By adding a second location, the company is making its expertise more accessible to security professionals across the UK.

Centralised Training for Comprehensive Security Solutions

The training sessions in Coventry will be led by TDSi’s Technical Support Manager, Jon Hooley, who emphasised the value of the collaboration. “Working with Harper Chalice allows us to bring our training programme to a central location that’s ideal for many of our partners,” Hooley explained. “The Integrated Security Hub also showcases a range of complementary security systems, which enriches the training experience for attendees.”

The hub features an array of solutions from the Vitaprotech Group, including Harper Chalice’s perimeter security systems and a dedicated area for TDSi’s GARDiS software, readers, and controllers. The facility even accommodates products from Hirsch, another Vitaprotech member, to provide an integrated approach to security system training.

Adam O’Reilly, Managing Director of Harper Chalice Group, highlighted the significance of this partnership: “The new hub is designed to demonstrate the full range of security solutions in one place, offering installers an opportunity to gain comprehensive insights. Welcoming TDSi’s team and products enhances this offering while providing a valuable resource for the industry.”

Practical Training for Professionals

At the heart of the Coventry and Poole sessions is a focus on giving installers direct, hands-on experience with TDSi’s GARDiS software and hardware. The programme aims to equip professionals with the skills and confidence to install and operate TDSi systems effectively.

TDSi’s training is particularly relevant for installers aiming to meet the increasing demand for integrated security solutions in sectors such as healthcare, finance, transportation, and education. By bridging the gap between product capabilities and real-world applications, the programme is tailored to deliver practical knowledge.

The Coventry hub’s location and state-of-the-art facilities are a notable advantage. Combining Harper Chalice’s expertise in perimeter security with TDSi’s leadership in access control, the hub offers a comprehensive look at modern security challenges and solutions.

Supporting Professional Development

In addition to its new Midlands location, TDSi continues to provide training at its recently updated facility in Poole, Dorset. Both venues enable security professionals to deepen their technical knowledge and stay updated on the latest features and innovations within the GARDiS range.

Dates for free training sessions at either location can be accessed and booked directly through the TDSi website. The straightforward online system allows installers to find available slots and secure their preferred dates quickly.

Expanding Access Control Expertise

TDSi’s decision to expand its training programme underscores its commitment to supporting the security industry. As part of the Vitaprotech Group, the company benefits from synergies with other group members, such as Harper Chalice, to deliver more holistic solutions.

For installers and integrators, these training sessions represent an opportunity to refine their skills and explore integrated approaches to security. With access control systems playing an increasingly critical role in modern security infrastructures, such initiatives help prepare professionals to tackle evolving challenges effectively.

By fostering collaboration across its group and providing hands-on training, TDSi is positioning itself as a key partner for security professionals seeking robust, reliable, and future-ready solutions.
