Veridos is supplying its eAccess system for participant identification at the Munich Security Conference (MSC), reinforcing its role in providing secure and efficient access control solutions for the high-profile event.
The 61st MSC, taking place from February 14-16, 2025, will gather global leaders to discuss pressing security issues. For the sixth consecutive year, Veridos’ advanced technology will manage access at key venues, including the Hotel Bayerischer Hof and Hotel Rosewood Munich.
Attendees will be issued eco-friendly access badges made from recycled plastic, embedded with high-security RFID chips from Veridos’ partner, NXP Semiconductors. These chips, readable only by authorised devices, store a unique ID linked to the attendee’s biometric data. Walk-through portals will verify identities through wireless chip reading and facial recognition, ensuring seamless and contactless access control.
Since last year, Veridos has collaborated with biometrics specialist Innovatrics to enhance automatic facial recognition, improving both speed and accuracy. As an alternative to the walk-through portals, attendees can use a dedicated Veridos app to scan their access cards via smartphones, allowing for manual verification if needed.
Marc-Julian Siewert, CEO of Veridos, expressed confidence in the system’s capabilities: “We are proud to continue supporting the Munich Security Conference with our advanced access control solutions. This partnership highlights our commitment to combining innovation with the highest security standards.”
Veridos’ continued involvement with the MSC reflects the growing demand for seamless and secure identification technologies in high-security environments.
