i-PRO Co will present the UK debut of its new U-Series camera range, at The Security Event (8–10 April, NEC Birmingham, stand 5/G55). Designed and manufactured in Japan, the U-Series brings edge-based AI analytics to entry-level installations, offering functionality typically reserved for premium systems.
AI for Every Installation
The U-Series uses edge computing to deliver real-time analytics including intrusion detection, line crossing, loitering alerts, directional monitoring, and speeding detection. Supporting 2MP, 5MP and 4K resolutions in dome, box and bullet formats, the cameras are designed to be flexible and cost-effective. Built-in features include AI video motion detection, audio recording, and direct-to-cloud VSaaS support.
In a move that underscores its commitment to cybersecurity, i-PRO has achieved FIPS 140-3 Level 3 compliance for the U-Series. This includes enhanced cryptographic protections, tamper resistance, and secure boot, ensuring robust protection even at the entry-level.
U-series highlights include:
- AI Video Motion Detection (AI-VMD)
- Built-in audio recording
- Direct-to-cloud VSaaS support
- FIPS 140-3 Level 3 cybersecurity compliance
Ethical AI and Open Integration
Also on display is i-PRO’s latest version of Active Guard — its AI-powered search tool that integrates seamlessly with leading VMS platforms such as Milestone and Genetec. Active Guard allows operators to carry out forensic searches and receive real-time alerts based on over 98 attributes captured by i-PRO cameras.
i-PRO’s open platform ensures compatibility with third-party analytics providers like Vaxtor and Noema. The company is also in the final stages of obtaining ISO/IEC 42001 certification for AI governance, which would make it the first in the physical security industry to reach this standard.
Following its separation from Panasonic, i-PRO has launched over 250 new camera models. The U-Series represents its next step in making AI-based security more widely accessible.
