IFSEC 2023, the golden anniversary

by Geny Caloisi
IFSEC, one of the largest security events, where industry professionals gather to showcase and explore the latest security technology and services advancements, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year (16-18 May 2023, London ExCel).

There are many reasons why someone might attend IFSEC, including networking, attending thought leadership talks and getting up-to-date with the latest advancements.

New this year is the IFSEC Distributor Hub provides leading distributors with strategic locations on the show floor to meet and network. Participating companies will have an opportunity to host their installer customers, catch up with the latest news, attend pre-show VIP breakfast briefings and meet with the technology experts from a vast range of leading manufacturers.

They will also have the opportunity to host a range of technical and business-related seminars in the Tech Talks Theatre, making sure their customers enjoy a rich day out at IFSEC where they can gain insight into the latest technologies, learn exclusive new skills and after-hours, enjoy refreshments on the Distributor Hubs.

IFSEC brings together professionals from across the security industry,  including manufacturers, suppliers, integrators, consultants, and end-users. It provides an excellent platform to network with industry experts, potential clients, and like-minded individuals. Building connections can lead to collaborations, partnerships, and business opportunities.

On each of the show’s three days, you can find seminars, panel discussions, and workshops conducted by industry leaders and experts. These sessions provide valuable insights into fire safety and security aspects, such as risk management, cybersecurity, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.

IFSEC offers the opportunity to witness live demonstrations of cutting-edge security products and solutions. This hands-on experience allows you to evaluate different technologies and assess their suitability for your specific needs

The ‘Engineers of Tomorrow’ (EoT) apprenticeship competition will again occur at IFSEC and FIREX. The winners will compete in the security and fire WorldSkills UK finals. The competition helps to raise the profile of engineering apprenticeships and the opportunities they represent within the sector, as well as showcasing the next generation’s talent.

Finally, IFSEC provides a platform for market research, allowing you to gather intelligence on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes. You can gain insights into emerging markets, understand customer demands, and identify potential business opportunities.
