March Networks Launches AI Smart Search and LPR at GSX 2024

by Geny Caloisi
March Networks, an in cloud-based intelligent video surveillance specialist, introduced its latest innovation, AI Smart Search, at the Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2024 in Orlando. This new tool leverages generative AI, natural language processing, and speech-to-search technology to revolutionise how businesses search and analyse video surveillance data.

With AI Smart Search, operators can use simple voice commands to sift through vast amounts of video snapshots. Commands like “show me open cash registers” or “find empty shelves” allow businesses to address operational issues faster. This technology reduces manual video reviews, enhances security audits, and optimizes business operations, all while minimising storage needs by analyzing snapshots rather than full video footage.

CEO Peter Strom emphasised the practical applications of AI Smart Search, noting its potential to help businesses solve real problems, increase revenue, and reduce risk. Built in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the system ensures reliable, cloud-based performance for multi-site operations.

Alongside AI Smart Search, March Networks introduced a high-precision License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera, powered by Vaxtor. This camera captures plates from over 100 countries and integrates with tools like Smart Rules for real-time alerts. The LPR solution is ideal for sectors like banking, retail, and drive-thru services, offering enhanced security, customer engagement, and personalised experiences.

Both technologies represent March Networks’ ongoing commitment to smarter, faster, and more secure video surveillance solutions.
