Synectics, a leader in security and surveillance solutions, has announced the launch of cutting-edge AI-driven enhancements in its latest Synergy software release.
The newest version (v24.2) introduces Synergy DETECT – part of the Synergy AI Suite – alongside advanced mobile app capabilities, improved data and privacy safeguards, and fresh third-party integrations.
AI-Powered Real-Time Risk Detection
The standout feature in this release is Synergy DETECT, a powerful tool compatible with fixed, PTZ, and thermal cameras. Synergy DETECT allows users to configure and activate twelve AI-based surveillance tools tailored to their specific needs.
Each tool addresses a different aspect of security, from identifying safety hazards such as worker trips and falls, to detecting unauthorised access in restricted areas, or monitoring compliance with safety equipment protocols. The AI system also spots crowd formations, intrusions, and suspicious behaviours, such as loitering.

Enhanced Mobile Access for On-the-Go Security
Synergy’s mobile app, which was updated earlier this year for Android devices, now offers even more functionality. Users can follow pre-set workflows directly from their devices, as well as access live or recorded footage from selected cameras.
With improved tracking, mapping, and live task updates, control room teams can monitor the location of field personnel and track the progress of tasks in real time.

Simplified Data Protection and Compliance
The latest Synergy release also simplifies the management of data protection and regulatory compliance. A new policy creation wizard helps organisations establish clear, straightforward usage protocols for web and mobile app users, ensuring full adherence to data protection regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Additionally, the platform’s privacy tools have been upgraded. A new “critical exception authorisation” feature allows designated users to bypass video privacy zones temporarily during emergencies, ensuring that essential information is accessible when it’s most needed.
User Experience Enhancements and New Integrations
Synergy v24.2 has been designed with user experience in mind. Updates include a more accessible ‘Help’ function and ‘time hop’ options for faster video reviews. A new PSN status dashboard has been introduced to help users monitor system performance more easily and troubleshoot issues faster.
This release also brings new third-party integrations. Synergy now supports AXIS Event Streaming, enabling comprehensive event coverage from compatible Axis cameras, as well as Hanwha AI Analytics, which provides instant alarm notifications from Hanwha’s edge-based AI capabilities.
