Euralarm’s Services Section has appointed Dave Wilkinson as its new Vice-Chair, succeeding Brian Cunningham in this pivotal role. Robert Thilthorpe, the Chair of the Services Section, expressed gratitude for Cunningham’s contributions, emphasizing the strong support Dave will receive from delegates as they work to advance the Services Section’s initiatives. Wilkinson, who has been an active member of Euralarm, previously served as both Vice Chair and Chair of the Security Section from 2015 to 2019.
Reflecting on his new position, Wilkinson noted the Services Section’s proactive role in developing service standards and guidance, particularly in fire safety and security systems, as well as remote services. He highlighted the importance of digitalization, stating that the Services Section is at the forefront of these advancements. By closely monitoring emerging technologies, the section aims to navigate both the opportunities and challenges they present to members, facilitating ongoing innovation. “I am delighted to be part of the team,” he remarked.
Wilkinson represents BSIA, the trade association dedicated to security manufacturers, installers, and alarm receiving centres.
