Reliance High-Tech, a UK security technology integrator, has launched Reliance Technology Care Solutions, a new venture focused on personal healthcare. This service combines advanced medical technology with 24/7 alarm monitoring to help people with various medical conditions live independently while providing peace of mind.
Reliance Technology Care Solutions plans to integrate specialised medical technology with the alarm management services offered by its in-house BS 5979 Category II alarm receiving center (ARC). Leveraging the experience gained through the Reliance Protect brand, which monitors the safety of tens of thousands of people, the company is well-positioned to extend its incident monitoring and rapid escalation services to those with medical needs.
Chris Allcard, Director at Reliance High-Tech, announced the company’s first strategic partnership with My Medic Watch, a developer of smartwatch apps designed to assist people with epilepsy or those at risk of falls. He stated, “We have an exclusive partnership with My Medic Watch for the UK and have worked closely with them over the last 12 months developing the ARC monitoring service. We are the first approved partner of My Medic Watch in the world.”
This marks Reliance’s first move into the consumer market, leveraging their extensive experience in business security to ensure they meet individual needs. CEO Alistair Enser called the launch a “unique offering” in the tele-health sector, with plans for more partnerships to support those living with medical conditions.
