Axis Communications has expanded its network camera range with a new suite of AI-enabled devices designed to enhance video analytics and deliver greater operational intelligence. The launch includes an all-in-one bispectral PTZ camera that combines thermal and visual imaging, alongside four new bullet cameras built for exceptional image clarity and performance.
Powered by the latest ARTPEC-9 system-on-chip, the new Axis IP cameras bring accelerated processing and advanced on-edge analytics to the forefront. Each model comes preloaded with AXIS Object Analytics to detect, classify, track, and count people and vehicles, including vehicle types. Security is reinforced through Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform offering FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified key protection for secure operation.
AXIS Q6411-LE Bispectral PTZ
Combining precise thermal detection with detailed visual verification, the AXIS Q6411-LE delivers exceptional situational awareness. Supporting the AV1 codec, it offers fast, intelligent performance and compatibility with AXIS Perimeter Defender for enhanced area protection through thermal analytics. The model also includes orientation aid and Autotracking 2 with click-and-track functionality, ensuring operators maintain focus on critical activity.
“As AI continues to evolve, it’s reshaping how we think about and apply security,” said Linn Storäng, Regional Director for Northern & Eastern Europe at Axis Communications. “The power of analytics, automation and data-driven insight allows us to move from human-centric monitoring to truly human-augmented security. By filtering out irrelevant information, AI helps professionals focus on what matters most and be more effective than ever.”
Next-generation bullet cameras
The new AXIS P14 series bullet cameras are engineered for reliability, delivering forensic detail even in demanding environments. The AXIS P1475-LE and P1485-LE feature 2 MP resolution, while the P1487-LE and P1488-LE models offer 5 MP and 8 MP, respectively. The P1488-LE’s large 1/1.2″ sensor ensures excellent low-light performance, while OptimizedIR supports clear surveillance in complete darkness. Axis Zipstream technology further reduces bandwidth and storage needs, improving efficiency without compromising image quality.
