Skills for Security has announced Axis Communications as its newest Platinum Sponsor, marking a shared commitment to advancing practical skills and professional standards in the UK’s fire and security sectors.

The partnership will see Axis contribute to apprenticeship programmes and training initiatives aimed at nurturing new talent. Natalie Barbi, HR Manager for Northern and Eastern Europe at Axis Communications, said the collaboration reflects the company’s belief that “the strength of our security and surveillance technology operations is built on the skills and professionalism of our people.” She added that by working with Skills for Security, Axis is helping to “develop a workforce that is technically capable, confident, and able to implement and support the latest in intelligent video, access control, and life-safety-adjacent solutions.”

The Platinum Sponsorship scheme enables leading organisations to engage with the apprenticeship ecosystem and play an active role in shaping the future workforce. As a sponsor, Axis will champion high-quality training and help raise awareness of career opportunities for the next generation of professionals.

David Scott, Managing Director of Skills for Security, said: “Axis’ reputation for innovation and leadership in network security technology aligns closely with our mission to strengthen skills and raise standards across the electronic security sector. Their support brings valuable industry insight and demonstrates a shared commitment to inspiring and developing the next generation of security professionals.”
