by Geny Caloisi
System Q, based in Chesterfield, has established itself as an industry leader in CCTV manufacturing and distribution and currently boosts over 15,000 clients across the UK and overseas but new for 2024 will be the company’s first chapter in the BTCC.

System Q has motorsport coursing through its veins with managing director, Mike Isherwood, formerly racing himself, which boosted the natural progression to build brand awareness by working with Taylor-Smith as part of his 2024 BTCC campaign.

Mike Isherwood commented: “I have always loved motorsport and was fortunate enough to race in my earlier years but my attention switched to building System Q to the level that it is in recent years. When Árón first contacted us it seemed like a great marketing opportunity but he took the time to tailor a bespoke program to incorporate far more including everything from nationwide networking events to VIP experiences for our key customers. To say that I am proud to know that the System Q logo will be on his car is an understatement.”

The start of the 2024 BTCC season is just around the corner and this new partnership with System Q couldn’t be any better timed with Taylor-Smith set to commence preseason testing in a matter of weeks with Power Maxed Racing. The Irishman made the switch to the Vauxhall team for the 2023, which allowed him to return to the BTCC podium for the first time in seven years. Taylor-Smith proved to be one to watch through the second half of the season as he added four Independent class victories to a trophy cabinet that already includes four outright race wins and, now, 20 podiums finishes since making his debut back in 2011. The past nine months have certainly marked something of a renaissance for Taylor-Smith’s touring car career, and the focus has already shifted towards making 2024 an even bigger step towards the ultimate goal of championship glory.

Árón Taylor-Smith commented: “You have no idea how grateful I am of the support from System Q for this coming season. We all instantly clicked through a mutual love for the sport but what really brought us together was understanding exactly where we could add value for the business and tailoring a program to deliver on just that. What is really clear for me to see is that this partnership stems from a place of passion within System Q and what I have learnt over the years is that this truly is the root for what will be a successful partnership. I am dying to see them trackside throughout the season as we hopefully put on a great show.”

An integral part of the System Q partnership will be based around hosting staff and customers nationwide within the VIP hospitality. Guests will receive behind the scenes access to the pinnacle of British Motorsport courtesy of this new partnership whilst supporting Taylor-Smith throughout the season. The iconic System Q logo will also be prominently on display on Taylor-Smith’s car to capitalise on building brand awareness throughout the season, as all races are shown live on ITV. In fact, the serious boasted a viewership in excessive of 19 million during the 2023 season and now the System Q will be proudly on display for all to see.

System Q’s head of marketing, Vanessa Derbyshire-Wood commented: “We are beyond excited to partner with Árón for the 2024 season! His passion and enthusiasm for his partner network is infectious and I believe that we will be able to reach new heights for the marketing of System Q as a result of this. But aside from the commercial benefits, we simply can’t wait to be trackside throughout the season and see what the BTCC is all about. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic year for Árón and we are so proud to be a part of it.”

Be sure to keep an eye on the System Q social media channels as well as Árón’s for regular update on the build up to the first race with our first BTCC attendance being Árón’s season launch event at Donington on April 26th.

“This partnership goes beyond the track, offering exciting opportunities like nationwide networking events and VIP experiences for our valued customers”.

The 2024 BTCC season is revving up, and we’re all set to support Taylor-Smith as he gears up for an action-packed season with Power Maxed Racing.
