Allied Telesis to Highlight the need of network solutions optimisation

by Geny Caloisi

Allied Telesis, a provider of connectivity solutions and intelligent networking tools, has recently launched its x530-28GSX full fibre switch. This new addition to the company’s x530 Series of multi-gigabit switches offers enhanced flexibility and network optimisation.

The x530-28GSX switch, which has been in development for several months, is a 24-port 100/1000X SFP stackable switch with 4 SFP+ ports and 2 fixed power supplies. It can aggregate a 24×1 Gigabit fibre link to a 4×10 Gigabit fibre link, and up to 8 units can be stacked using Virtual Chassis Stacking (VCStack™) to build a 192 Gigabit fibre aggregator. The switch also supports copper connectivity via SFP/SFP+ ports, providing maximum flexibility for both copper and fibre as needed.

The x530-28GSX allows for the addition of bandwidth using either copper or fiber at either 1 or 10Gb/s. Its high resiliency makes it suitable for various large site markets such as education campuses, FTTx deployments, utilities, and city-wide metro networks. Furthermore, it can be used in dense fibre-only networks such as defense and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), reducing the chances of a cyber-attack on the attached passive infrastructure.

Allied Telesis will be showcasing its offerings at The Security Event in Birmingham (#5/P95).

The company prides itself on designing and manufacturing networking solutions to Japanese build-quality standards in its own facilities. Its extensive range of security solutions includes enterprise and industrial switches, firewalls, wireless, and conversion products.

Chris Dyke, Sales Director UK & Ireland at Allied Telesis, highlighted that in today’s world where companies are increasingly adopting flexible work arrangements like work-from-home, hot-desking, and BYOD, securing the work environment and protecting digital assets from internal and external threats can be challenging. He suggested that Allied Telesis is the go-to choice for businesses and organisations seeking to enhance their security.

The company is dedicated to providing customers with solutions that are designed and built to the highest standards and quality. Its manufacturing processes conform to ISO 9001 standards, and its facilities adhere to the strict ISO 14001 standard, demonstrating its commitment to a healthier planet.
