EZVIZ launches 2K EB3 battery security camera in the UK

by Geny Caloisi
EZVIZ is launching its EB3 camera in the UK. The EB3 battery camera is packed with features including 2K resolution, smart human motion detection, colour night vision, active defence with siren and strobe light, two-way talk and customisable voice alerts for just £89.99.

The EZVIZ EB3 is a step up from its predecessor with ultra-clear 2K vision for advanced detail capturing. The night vision is equally impressive, with far-reaching colour night vision of up to 15 metres and, thanks to its two spotlights, nothing will be missed, however dark it may be. What’s even better, homeowners can choose between the colour mode or the infrared mode, as preferred.

EB3 camera integrates a PIR sensor to distinguish people from pets or even autumn leaves. When significant activity is detected, the connected device is notified. When intruders are spotted, a loud siren with two flashing spotlights will be triggered, ensuring no intruder ever escapes detection or returns to the property. You can also communicate verbally, frightening off unwanted visitors or instructing a delivery driver from home or away. Using a smartphone or pre-recorded 10-second voice message, two-way audio can be used automatically when motion is detected.

The EB3 can be easily managed via the EZVIZ App, on-site or remotely. Moreover, live viewing can be voice-enabled with “Hey Google” or “Alexa” to check what’s happening on a bigger screen. It is highly weather-resistant, working efficiently, however severe weather conditions, be that rain or snow.

It also offers an enhanced viewing experience with smaller files. Compared to the prevailing H.264 video compression technology, H.265 creates a more fluid viewing experience with recorded 2K videos and reduces the size of video files by up to 50%. EZVIZ, unlike many of its competitors, also offers its users the option to store any recordings on a local microSD card of up to 256GB, no subscription charges are involved. However, for those who would like the security of extra data protection, there is the option to subscribe to the EZVIZ CloudPlay for fully encrypted cloud storage.
