Avigilion solutions for Irish state-of-the-art Equestrian Center

by Geny Caloisi

Irish show jumping Olympic medallist and coach Cian O’Connor, has recently opened an ultra-modern, high-performance equestrian and show jumping training facility in Meath, Ireland. The facilities at Karlswood are outstanding.

“We’re looking after some of the top showjumpers in the country, and we strive for excellence in everything we do. So, we need best-in-class security, in keeping with our high standards. That’s why we chose an Avigilon video security system. Our system gives us the peace of mind that we’re doing all we can to ensure the safety of our horses, staff, visitors and premises at all times,” said Cian O’Connor, Olympic Medallist and Trainer.

Karlswood was looking for a reliable, future-proof solution that would enable key staff to monitor the site effectively from any location at all times and provide full traceability for remedial action and, potentially, insurance purposes in the event of any issues or accidents.

The deployment ensures almost seamless security coverage across the site for Karlswood. All external cameras have adaptive infrared (IR) technology to provide broad coverage and exceptional image quality, even in low-light settings and after dark. Two Avigilon video intercoms and numerous audio speakers are also connected to the system, which a core Karlswood team accesses via the Avigilon ACC Mobile 3 App on their smartphones. In this way, they can always view live and recorded streams from any camera and answer intercom calls to identify and talk with visitors before remotely granting access to the site.

O’Connor concludes, “The Avigilon technology is reliable, high performance and flexible, and the image quality is second to none. Most people can shut up shop at the end of the day, but you can’t with horses. Our system gives us the peace of mind that we’re doing all we can to ensure the safety of our horses, staff, visitors and premises at all times.”
